Established in 1984, DY Patil College of Engineering and Technology (DYPCET) is a prominent private engineering institution located in Kasaba Bawada, Kolhapur, Maharashtra. Founded by the visionary Padmashree Dr. D.Y. Patil, former Governor of Tripura, Bihar, and West Bengal, the college operates under the D.Y. Patil Group of Institutions. In 2020, the University Grants Commission (UGC) and Shivaji University, Kolhapur, conferred autonomous status upon the institute, enhancing its academic flexibility and curriculum design.
